Ljud och andra rum är en bok om urbana ljudmiljöer, ljudkonst, ljudrum och rumsljud. Texterna i boken ger personliga reflektioner om ljudkvalitet och upplevelse, ljuddesign och akustisk redigering, tekniska lösningar på konstnärliga problem och hur man kan tänka och komponera ljud i formandet av arkitektur och stad. I text och bild har författarna samlat erfarenheter från ett antal projekt inom den konstnärliga och tvärvetenskapliga forskargruppen Urban Sound Institute, USIT. Tanken har varit att göra en lättläst, lättburen och användbar bok som kan fungera som en brygga mellan specialister och en intresserad allmänhet.
