Originally published in 1939, this book examined how to finance the war, including chapters on the methods of industrial mobilisation andgovernment borrowing and the growth of money income. During the course of the year 1936, when the probability of another war with Germany became exceedingly great, a group of six persons interested in the problems of financial policy began to meet, and the results of the discussions that took place between them are embodied in the present work.
